Building Simulation 2021 Conference

September 1-2-3, 2021
Bruges, Belgium

1. BS2021 will be organized as a safe physical conference in September 2021 in Bruges.
2. For the BS2021-OC a live face-to-face meeting is key. Therefore we will not switch to an on-line or hybrid alternative.
3. Only in the case of force majeure (e.g. traveling is not allowed by the authorities, social distancing puts a limit on the allowed participants below the treshold set, …) we need to go to plan B, which is postponement to August 2022.
4. In case of plan B,
   a. We will valorize the (in 2021) accepted papers in ‘proceedings of a postponed conference’ such that they count as peer reviewed international publications. Furthermore, we allow the authors to present this (already in 2021 published) work in 2022 with an updated presentation (no updated paper). Authors may also chose not to publish in 2021 and resubmit in 2022.
   b. We will clearly communicate a cancellation policy and financial implications in case of force majeure. The routes available to recover your money will be followed to the maximum level possible. More detailed information will follow in due time.

These plans try to maximize the chances for a succesful BS2021 conference and to minimize the risks for all parties involved as much as possible.
